HOUSTON, TX - The Edmiston Family had extra reason to celebrate this Christmas.

"This is a special Christmas because we just finalized the adoption of our son Konner on November 20," Karin Edmiston said. "Just having that finalization and that forever mentality is really nice."

Karin and her husband, Brendon, are raising a total of six children, ranging from 10 months old to 19 years old.

And 20-months-old Konner is one of their two adopted children, joining five-year-old Melissa.

"It was really God leading up to adopt," Brendon said. "We had room in our home and room in our hearts for more children."

Karin added, "This has become our normal, and it's the normal for our kids, both bio and adopted - family is family."

Karin jokingly described the atmosphere of the house as "organized chaos," but she wouldn't rule out one day adding to the family.  Seems like this family has truly created a home for the holidays.
