Workers rescued from dangling scaffolding 71 stories in the air

HOUSTON – A high-angle rescue was performed late this morning at the Chase Bank Building, which is approximately 75 stories tall. Window washers at the 71st floor experienced a motor malfunction and radioed that they were stuck.

HFD High Angle Rescue Teams arrived. There were also windows glaziers on scene and a mechanic from the window washing company. HFD was able to establish contact with the two men on the scaffold and they were brought in through a 71st floor window after the window was removed by the two glaziers.

There were no injuries and this incident was declared under control at 11:10 a.m.
