SAN BERNARDINO, CA – A confession is what police hope for when they catch a suspect, but what if the suspect already ‘fessed up on Facebook? San Bernardino Police say Nakasia James allegedly admitted to murder in a post on the social media network.

The author of the post wrote that she had been fighting with her “ex,” who hit her in the the face.

“We was really fightn and I gt (sic) the knife and stabbed him,” the statement said, adding that she “ddnt think I would hurt him BT I did he died.”

Police found 21-year-old Dorian Powell stabbed to death in the apartment he shared with James. It didn’t take officers long to find her and charge James with murder.

While it’s not clear whether her social statement will hold up in court, one thing’s for sure: James won’t be posting bond or on Facebook for a while.
