HOLLYWOOD, CA - There are plenty of famous Oscars. Like, fashion icon, Oscar de la Renta and the "Golden Boy" boxer, Oscar de la Hoya who has 10 different titles under his belt. What about Oscar Mayer? You know, the one who has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A. Even the fuzzy, love-able Grouch who lives on Sesame Street is named Oscar.

Perhaps the most famous Oscar is the shiny golden statuette given out each year at the Academy Awards. But this Oscar is tarnished.

For the second straight year, not one of the 20 acting nominations went to a person of color.  #OscarsSoWhite is now trending, meaning, where are all the people of color?

Director Spike Lee is speaking out. "We need to have some serious discussions about diversity and get some flava up in this."

He's calling for a boycott of the February ceremony along with actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Her husband Will Smith is noticeably missing from the Best Actor category for "Concussion."

The Academy's first African-American President is weighing in, too, saying "It's disappointing. Of course it's disappointing. We're just gonna keep pushing it."

Nobody knows the identities of the approximately six thousand people who make up the academy. But the last study showed 94% of the members are white.

Lee says, "This industry is so behind sports, it's ridiculous!"

Seems like the most colorful aspect of the award show this year will be the red carpet!
