HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for suspects who crashed a family’s SUV after pushing two young children out of the car in southwest Houston.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at Skyline and West Greenridge.

Police say four suspects approached the family outside the Inglewood Village apartment, held them at gunpoint then drove off with their SUV.

As the suspects were getting away, they crashed into a fence at another apartment complex and ended up hitting a small storage building and four parked cars.

They eventually came to a stop where the suspects hopped out of the SUV and fled on foot.

The two toddlers were taken to a hospital just as a precaution and are doing OK.
