FLORIDA COAST -  If you plan on traveling internationally any time soon, consider this a friendly reminder. Do not smuggle anything illegal into this country when you get back home.

Oh sure, you're probably thinking agents just search for drugs or weapons you know, the obvious. The fact is, agents may search for anything they want.

One man was taken into custody in Florida recently traveling from Cuba. Customs agents at the Miami International Airport say he tried smuggling live birds in his pants.

Yeah! Officials say he was hiding six exotic birds in a fanny pack, and another three in his groin area.

It's a violation of federal law to smuggle live animals into the U.S.  But don't worry, the birds are just fine. Their feathers were just a bit ruffled.
