Deputy accused of employee misconduct with witness in Goforth case, terminated

HOUSTON – More details are emerging in the murder case of Deputy Darren Goforth.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office terminated another deputy for employee misconduct with a witness in the case.

Deputy M. Deleon was fired after officials say an investigation determined that DeLeon lied during the investigation.

This news comes after Goforth’s accused killer, Shannon Miles, was declared incompetent to stand trial.
