OLEAN, NY - The U.S. Postal Service has blood on its hands. Not exactly, but one postal worker made the cut for this story.
When some residents in the small town of Olean in upstate New York checked their mailboxes this week, they found it stained with blood.
The mailman was not trying to send a gory message. Turns out, he cut his finger while adjusting a broken mirror on his mail truck that had just been sideswiped.
Nevertheless, he kept working not realizing his finger had not stopped bleeding. Hence, the bloody deliveries. The USPS delivered a first class apology to residents.
You might complain about your mailman sometimes, but it's clear this worker was willing to give it his all through blood, sweat, and tears.
