BELLAIRE – The manhunt continues for the cold-blooded killer who gunned down a pizzeria employee working his way through college.

Cops say a gunman went into Reginelli's Pizzeria on Bissonet Sunday night and ordered 19-year-old Peter Mielke to hand over all the money in the cash register.

Witnesses told investigators Mielke was trying to comply when the robber shot him several times, killing him.

Bellaire police have released security video from the night of the shooting, showing a person they’re looking for. They describe him as a tall, slim, black male. And that’s all they’re saying, other than they hope someone recognizes this guy and tells them where to find him.

Mielke graduated from Bellaire High School and was a sophomore in college studying for a degree in sports journalism. He worked at Reginelli’s to help pay for college.

A statement from Reginelli’s says the restaurant will be closed for the immediate future, and that their thoughts and prayers are with peter’s family and the restaurant’s employees.

The restaurant has set up the Peter Mielke Memorial Fund with Amegy Bank, and the family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for his funeral.
