RADFORD, VA – Politics and protests go hand-in-hand, or billy-club-on-head, as was the case in Chicago during the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

No candidate is spared in this year’s fun and games.

Hillary Clinton has had her share, and Bernie Sanders has been burned a time or two.

Donald Trump probably has had more than his fair share, but what happened at a Trump rally in Radford, VA, had nothing to do with the candidate or the noisy protesters.

A video of the event shows Time photographer Chris Morris telling a Secret Service agent “F*** you! F*** you!”

Morris claims the agent assaulted him when he stepped 18 inches outside the roped off area for the media so he could shoot the “Black Lives Matter” protest.

Videos show Morris kicking and fighting back as the agent tries to subdue him.

Time released a statement from Morris that said he regrets his role in the confrontation, but called the agent’s response “disproportionate and unnecessarily violent.”

Morris also said he hopes this calls attention to the challenges of the media in covering the Trump campaign that keeps the media all in one place.

Just think, eight more months until the general election.
