UNION COUNTY, SC - Even tech-savvy teachers can learn lessons the hard way....and find themselves on the wrong side of an app.

Leigh Ann Arthur loved teaching high school mechatronics in Union County, South Carolina. The gig combines mechanical and electrical engineering with computer programming.

Arthur also loves her husband. So, for Valentine’s Day, she took some partially nude selfies for hubby using her smart phone.

It may have been a mistake to leave the pics on her phone and the phone unattended on her desk at school. It may also be a mistake to not have a security code on her phone. One of her technology center students made a mistake, too. He (ahem) borrowed her phone. You probably know where that led.

"Then he had to hit my apps button and to open up all my apps and then open my gallery," says Leigh Ann Arthur.

He took pictures of her pictures, then shared them with others. The school district is holding Leigh Ann responsible, so she resigned.

Despite being emotionally frayed, she has managed to forgive the student involved.

"He’s only 16 years old. He’s going to make some stupid decisions. We all made stupid decisions at 16."

And sometimes those stupid decisions lead to risqué business!
