XI'AN, CHINA - Being stuck for hours in the same spot can be sickening.  For a woman in Xi'an, being trapped in her apartment building's elevator for a month killed her.  Maintenance workers shut off the power to do repairs, but apparently someone didn't make sure the elevator was empty.  Hours turned into days, and days into weeks.  That's when crews found the 43-year-old Chinese woman still inside, decomposing.  Reportedly, her cause of death was gross negligence by the maintenance crew in a case of involuntary manslaughter.  Maybe taking the stairs will make you live longer.  That sure may be true in this case.
