HOUSTON, TX - On Tuesday, legendary music producer George Martin died at the age of 90. Martin is perhaps most famous for his work producing the majority of the Beatles top hits. He also worked with artists and bands such as Peter Sellers, Cheap Trick and UFO among others.
"Those records which he produced still represent the ceiling of artistry today," Cactus Music owner Quinn Bishop said. "[Martin] steering them towards that high level of creativity, that's invaluable."
23 of Martin's productions ended up as No. 1 hits in the US. Martin earned a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
