HOUSTON - A southeast Houston couple woke up around midnight Wednesday, thinking lightning struck their front yard. Turns out, it wasn't a storm; it was a car, which had been parked inside their home along Misty Vale Ln.

The worst part? This isn't the first time this has happened to the couple.

"We had one vehicle in the house about six or seven years ago, so we had rocks put here to slow down any other traffic that might come through the yard," said Ben Brown, the homeowner.

The car knocked one of those rocks about 30 yards.

As for the driver, it took emergency crews about 15 minutes to pull him out of the car, which was lodged in the house. He's being treated at Ben Taub for non-life-threatening injuries.
