Animal shelter in Bellville hit hard by flooding

Folks all over the Houston area suffered major devastation from floods Monday and animals were also affected. Animal Friends Shelter is a non-profit no-kill shelter staffed by volunteers that was completely wiped out by flood waters.

So far one dog drowned, three are missing and 21 dogs are safe in foster homes, vet clinics and other temporary locations. To donate or give support, visit
