NEW YORK, NY -  Is life real? You don't hear that question everyday. But at a recent meeting of the minds in New York City, some of the smartest people on the planet got together to discuss whether or not our universe was really just a computer simulation.

The Matrix for real! Now, that sounds a little hard to swallow. But a real life Morpheus thinks that spacey scenario is very likely. He is renown astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Tyson hosted the discussion, and he believes there's a possibility our universe might be "made". And by whom, you ask? Highly advanced aliens of course. Tyson says, "It is easy for me to imagine that everything in our lives is just the creation of some other entity for their entertainment."

So, if Tyson is right, then everything we see around us could basically just be one colossal computer simulation. From the structures that surround us, to the hustle and bustle of the city streets. Life as we know it, might only be a video game. Mind "officially" blown!

Tyson cites that since most physicists and philosophers believe it's not possible to disprove this theory, he thinks there's a possibility that a Matrix-like simulation could be real. Tyson adds, "I'm saying , the day we learn that it is true, I will be the only one in the room saying I'm not surprised." But why would anyone (or anything) want to create us? Well simply, according to Tyson, these "programmers" might just see us all as pets and our whole universe is their fish bowl. Hope we don't end up getting flushed down the toilet.

So strange as it might sound, some very smart people of science are saying we all might be just the creation of some supreme power. Funny, but ask any religious person and they'd say they could have tell you that already.
