HOUSTON, Texas - After losing to Donald Trump in Indiana, Texas Senator Ted Cruz announced he was dropping out of the race for the GOP nomination.

"We left it all on the field in Indiana," said Cruz to a crowd of followers when he called it a quits. "We gave it everything we've got. But the voters chose another path."

He's certainly managed to put on an impressive operation throughout this campaign. But now that Cruz is out, the first remaining question is: who are his supporters gonna vote for now that Trump is the Republican candidate for president?

"Well, I hate that Cruz lost," said a Houston resident who refused to share his name. "As a Cruz fan I'm a Trump fan."

"I considered supporting him when I thought he was kind of the outside-candidate, you know, the Tea Party rebel, that kind of thing," expressed Robert North. "But it seams like he kind of became more of the establishment."

And secondly: what is Cruz gonna do next?

"I feel like he'll be more cooperative and maybe eventually re-run and learn from this experience," considered Tricia Frederick.

"Ted Cruz I think will continue being Ted Cruz," laughed Anne Owens.

"I think he's got a strong constituency, which is obviously very conservative," explained Karl Petters. "I think they need a voice.  I think Ted Cruz has a future: he's only 45 years old." And then he added: "In life everybody learns lessons, and I think there's a level of maturity that he's learned through the campaign.  I think he'll be much better at building constituencies to help legislation to get passed."

This is clearly not the season to make political predictions, folks. Anything is still possible. So, welcome back, Senator. If it's not the White House, how about a TED Talk?
