Carnival Cruise docks back in Galveston after Coast Guard suspends search for passenger

GALVESTON, TX -- Hours after the Coast Guard suspended its search for a passenger who fell overboard, the Carnival Cruise line docked back in Galveston.

Samantha Broberg, 33, was reported missing to the ship's personnel Friday.

Surveillance footage indicates she fell overboard from the 10th deck after sitting on a deck railing and falling backwards into the water

The Carnival Liberty had left Galveston on a 4-day trip to Mexico.

The Coast Guard spent 20 hours searching an area of more than 4,300 square miles before suspending the search, last night.
