HOUSTON, TX -- Friends and family gathered to remember a teen killed by a suspected drunk driver on her prom night.

There's a growing memorial for 18-year old Jocelynn Valero at the intersection of the North Freeway and Tidwell.

That's where police say the 27-year old suspected drunk driver was in the middle of a police chase when he ran a red light plowing into the teen and her date.

Jocelynn, a student at Yes Prep North, died at the scene and her date was taken to the hospital.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with funeral costs.

This is the second child the Valero's will have to bury in a little over a month.

Their son Jose was killed in front of a nightclub just five weeks ago.
