Woman charged with killing Pearland police officer in crash

PEARLAND, TX -- The woman behind the wheel of the car that killed a Pearland police officer is accused of being drunk at the time of the deadly wreck.

38-year old Amber Willemsen will be charged with intoxication manslaughter. She's accused of crashing into Pearland police officer Endy Ekpanya's patrol car head-on, killing him.

Willemsen was taken to the hospital with minor injures. When she is released she will be booked into the Brazoria county jail.

30-year old Ekpanya leaves behind a fiance and two year old son.
