SHENANDOAH, TX-  Kassidy Cook is a diver that's not afraid of the big moments. In fact, she says the intensity drives her.

"I find joy that I can do something that a lot of people fear," said Cook, a 21-year-old from the Woodlands. "Being able to go up there and conquer a fear everyday is really exhilarating."

Last weekend, Cook earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic Diving Team for the Rio Olympics.

"I'm going there to get the job done.  I know that if I can dive the way I practice, I know I can end up on that podium."

Cook narrowly missed out on the 2012 Olympics in London, and afterward had to deal with several injuries. "I had two shoulder surgeries, a knee surgery and a broken collarbone. Going through all that, I wanted to give up at points, but I just couldn't let go of my dream. I'm so happy I didn't."

Good luck, Kassidy! The Woodlands and all of the Houston area will be rooting for you!
