CHICAGO, IL - Remember the bike ride across America that started back in June to raise $11 Million for Houston's 'The Center' organization?

Well, that 'Pursuit' has reached an important milestone, as dedicated riders pedaled into the Windy City over the weekend!

"Living Bright's about embracing the positive in everything we do," Pursuit rider Jennifer Dominiquini declared. "And this is what this ride's been all about!"

The ride is also about raising awareness and funds for The Center in Houston which serves adults with intellectual and learning disabilities.

"The fact that we can do this for a more noble cause.. we do this to help everybody deserve a bright future," Dominiquini related. "...For me, that was super, super motivating."

The riders just completed a 500-mile leg of the cross-country trek, biking from St. Paul, Minnesota to Chicago.

"A lot of farmland, but a lot, a lot of great hills," Dominiquini recalled. "And we had to climb."

In all, the bike ride is covering a 3,500-mile journey from coast to coast...all in the summer heat!

"It rains," Dominiquini said. "Once in awhile it gets a little hot...sometimes the bugs come out to bite us. But really no complaints here from me."

The Pursuit ride is approaching it's final stretch as the riders make their way near Washington D. C. on August 3rd.
