HOUSTON, TX - An estimated 700 U.S. Olympic Team members are coming through Houston this week, going through processing activities ahead of the games in Rio.
"It's one of those things that puts the steps between the dream and the reality," triathlete Joe Maloy said. "It hasn't hit me yet."
"It such an amazing feeling, and I've waited so long for this," added table tennis player Lily Zhang. "Houston is an amazing city. We have an Olympic training camp here this week."
Athletes went through various activities, including taking identification photos and collecting their U.S. Olympic clothing.
The U.S. Olympic Committee will be doing the same processing event for 400 Paralympians ahead of Brazil.
