HOUSTON, TX -- A runaway dog has been found safe in Seattle all thanks to the help of a local animal shelter worker.

Mila, the dog, bolted from her kennel at the Seattle airport on Friday.

She was flown from Reggie's Friends, here in Houston, to unite with a family that adopted her. Volunteers later tracked her down at a cemetery near the airport, but she kept running away. The dog came up to them only when she saw a familiar face, the founder of her original shelter.

LaChrystal Ricke had come all the way from Houston to help find Mila.

Mila has been checked by a vet and will be meeting her new family soon.
