MAGNOLIA, Texas — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man and woman were found dead Thursday afternoon inside their home in Magnolia.

Police said a family member was the first to discover the two deceased around 3 p.m. at a home in the 19100 block of Forest Ridge Drive.  Detectives said the individual went to check on the woman who had not shown up for work for several days — nor did she call in.

According to officials, when deputies arrived to the home, they discovered the victims died from apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives believe this incident is a murder-suicide based off evidence recovered at the scene.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending family notification.
