HOUSTON — A Harris County officer has been accused of harassment after his ex-wife said he sent her several threatening text messages.

Johnny Ray Price, 44, is charged with harassing communication, which is a misdemeanor.  Price is an officer with the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4, according to court documents.

Jennifer Price said her ex-husband came to her home August 14 uninvited and parked outside on the 12800 block of Grassy Hill Lane in Humble, deputies said. Johnny Price texted her, asking to take their children to breakfast. Officer said he then sent a second text message demanding to know who owned the vehicle parked outside his ex-wife’s house.

Investigators said Johnny Price remained outside and continued to text Jennifer Price several times despite his ex-wife begging him to leave. At one point, officers said the officer sent her a picture of the car and threatened to assault car’s owner.

Johnny Price left shortly before law enforcement arrived, according to court documents.

Price’s bond is set at $50,000.
