HOUSTON — The original Frenchy's Chicken restaurant may be movin' on up! As in up to a different street — we can only hope.

Sources said the first Frenchy's, which is located just outside the University of Houston main campus on Scott Street, may be torn down to make more space for the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. The Creole-style fried chicken restaurant has been in the neighborhood for more than 40 years, but now it looks like it will be shutting down in the next few months.

Reports say the church, which is next door to Frenchy's, purchased the land this summer.

It's a sad moment for Frenchy's fans everywhere.

So go while you can because nothing is like the original Frenchy's!
