Crosby ISD: School bus carrying several children flips over

CROSBY, Texas — More than a dozen Crosby ISD students were rescued Thursday afternoon after their school bus skidded off the road and flipped into a ditch, according to investigators.

Emergency crews are working to remove bus 213, which was fell flat on its side off FM 1492 near Bohemian Hall in Crosby. District officials said paramedics evacuated several students of the nearly 50 students on the vehicle. Investigators said 16 students and the bus driver were taken to the hospital — eight were taken to an east Houston hospital and the other nine were brought to a hospital in Baytown.

There have been no reports of any life-threatening injuries.
