2 teens arrested after pulling ‘creepy clown’ prank at park in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas — Two teenage boys are facing terrorism-related charges after investigators said they dressed in clown masks and harassed several residents Monday evening at a neighborhood park in Baytown.

Officers were sent to Jenkins Park near the 4300 of Crosby Cedar Bayou Road around 6 p.m. after the Baytown Police Department received numerous reports of two men in black clothes and clown masks chasing residents with a stick.

When police arrived, officers arrested a 16-year-old and 13-year-old boy.

The teens were charged with making terroristic threats before being released to their parents, officers said.

The department said while such reports have proven to be urban legends over the last several years, the police force takes each allegations seriously.
