Suspected drunk driver kills 2 people in 4-vehicle crash in north Houston

HOUSTON – Two people were killed in a fatal crash after being hit by a suspect drunk driver on north Harris County Saturday morning.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Imperial Valley Drive.

Police said a Honda Fit, a Toyota car and motorcycle were all stopped at a stoplight westbound on FM 1960, when a man in a pickup truck slammed into the back end of the two cars and a motorcycle.

The man and a woman who were riding the motorcycle died at the scene.

The two men in the Honda were transported to the hospital in stable condition, while the two people in the Toyota were not hurt.

Authorities said the driver of the pickup truck was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

That driver faces two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter charges.
