Gunman in Freddy Krueger costume shoots 5 people at house party

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Bring Halloween costumes to life is all fun and games until someone take it too literally.

It was 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' at a house party Sunday night where police said two crashers got into an argument with a couple of party guest. The brawl turned violent when one of the men — dressed as Freddy Krueger — whipped out a gun and started firing.

The gunfire hit five people, but thankfully, no one was killed.

On neighbor said the shots woke him up.

"I heard a bunch of yelling and screaming, and the next thing I heard a couple of shots — then four or five shots after that," the resident said. "I could see the flashes and everything."

It is definitely not the kind of fright fest people were looking forward to. Come on guys, if you're going to crash a party — bring beers not bullets!

Police are still looking for the gunman and his friend.
