Terror threats made against Texas, New York and Virginia

HOUSTON - Warning! Warning! A terrorist attack could be imminent on American soil!

The U.S. government warns that Texas, New York, and Virginia are targets named in recent threats from Al Qaeda. The threats ares suspected to occur the day before the Nov. 8 election. Wait a second, that's today, sure hope there's been a beef up in security.

“We are in close communication with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners about any potential terrorist threats or disruptions to election activities,” the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management said in a statement.

The Houston Police Department adds, “We don't confirm any specific threats, however we are always monitoring the environment and will act accordingly.”

The Council on American Islamic Relations said Muslims in California, Washington, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Florida are being questioned by the FBI.

One member of the council Alia Salem posted a video on Twitter advising all Muslims to consult an attorney before answering any questions from the bureau.
