HOUSTON — A Lamar High School senior had the chance of a lifetime Tuesday after being asked to sing alongside one of her biggest inspirations: Adele.

Ma'at Bingham, 17, was at a the singer's Houston concert when she started calling out to the artist.

"It was a surreal experience, and it's something that I will never forget," Bingham said.

Adele invited the teen to sing in front of the thousands crowding the stadium.

"She didn't know if I was going to sound terrible or if I was going to sound great, so I appreciate her taking her time out of her show and letting me sing for her," Bingham said.

The teen said she hopes to attend the Thornton School of Music at the University of California, so she can continue her career as a singer and songwriter after graduation.
