HOUSTON — Officers are searching for an allegedly armed man accused of multiple crimes in the Houston area, authorities said.

Denzel Boone is wanted in connection to a sexual assault involving a deadly weapon in Missouri City, according to the Houston Police Department.

Investigators said a woman was alone Oct. 18 around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 6600 block of Dunlap Street when the incident happened. Boone forced his way into the unit’s front door and sexually assaulted the woman in her bedroom, officers said. Police said he told the victim he had a gun inside his pocket to prevent her from escaping during the assault.

Boone is an 23-year-old African-American with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, investigators said. He also has an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery involving a deadly weapon, a police report said.

Anyone with information related to the sexual assault or armed robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). The agency is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
