AUSTIN – After UT lost to Kansas 24-21 in overtime, Longhorns head football coach finds himself squarely on the hot seat. Before the game, there had been rumors that boosters were wanting the third year coach out so UT could pursue Houston Cougars head football coach Tom Herman. Herman was a graduate assistant under Mack Brown at one time so knows the Longhorn program.

Strong is 16-20 in his three years at the helm, and is 5-5 in 2016. The low point was on Saturday when the Longhorns committed six turnovers and blew an 11-point fourth quarter lead to lose to the 1-9 (at the time) Jayhawks. It was the first Longhorns loss to Kansas in football since 1938!

The Longhorns will wrap up their regular season when they face TCU on Friday.
