HOUSTON — Some relationships are hard to survive — especially, when someone gets ‘stabbed in the back.’
Houston police said the couple got into a confrontation around 11:30 p.m. Thursday when the conversation escalated well passed verbal lashings. Investigators said the boyfriend slapped — or otherwise hit — the woman in the face. And in turn, officers said the girlfriend grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the back.
He was taken to Ben Taub hospital in serious but stable condition.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend was arrested. She claimed it was self-defense.
No word yet on whether charges have been filed.
