HPD: Woman’s body found in west Houston

HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department is investigating after a possible hit-and-run on the west side of town, authorities said.

Investigators said the victim’s body was found Sept. 22  near the front entrance of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Gentryside Drive. Officers believe the victim was walking near the main entrance when an unknown vehicle hit her and then drove off.

She was taken the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Anyone with related to the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). The agency is offering an up to $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or charge.
