HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department is searching for two men accused of robbing a drugstore at gunpoint on the southwest side of town, authorities said.

Investigators said three masked men walked into the Walgreens at Kirby Drive and S. Main Streets around 10 p.m. and attempted to robbed the stored. Officers said several employees were held at gunpoint. HPD said an alarm was tripped and officers responded, investigators said.

As police arrived, the suspects were coming out of the Walgreens with the store’s cash bag.

The officers were chasing the men when their driver lost control of the vehicle and stopped, the department said. Investigators said the men jumped out and ran on away. HPD said officers arrested one suspect after he was found hiding inside a man’s apartment later. Officers were also able to recover the money, investigators said.
