Hurricane Irma weakened a little during the night, but remained a powerful Category 3 storm on Saturday morning.

The cyclone was still expected to approach the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean on Wednesday.

The range of possibilities presented by the forecast models more than a week out spreaded from Mexico to Canada — and everywhere in between.

Irma was designated a tropical storm Aug. 30, and by the next day, it had strengthened into a large Category 3 hurricane, with winds of 115 mph.

More details to come.
