About Dr. Liz

Elizabeth McIngvale, Ph.D., LMSW has dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of those living with mental illness through her career, community service and advocacy.

She is founder of the Peace of Mind Foundation, an organization whose mission is to help improve the quality of life of OCD suffers and caregivers. She is also a assistant professor and clinical researcher in the psychiatry department at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Liz received her bachelors and master’s degrees in social work from Loyola University Chicago and her Ph.D. in social work at the University of Houston.

She is a renowned speaker on both the local and national level speaking on behalf of OCD, mental illness and mental health stigma. Dr. Liz has received numerous awards for her advocacy and impact on the mental health field and currently serves as a director on 6 boards.
