    HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating after a 61-year-old man was stabbed to death near the Galleria mall. It happened around 9 p.m. Thursday near a bus stop on Post Oak Boulevard. When police arrived on the scene, they found that the 61-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he was pronounced dead.   • Elderly woman violently attacked and robbed speaks out

    HOUSTON – An elderly woman is speaking out after she was attacked at her home in southeast Houston last month. 95-year-old Ophelia Outley says she was beaten and then robbed after the intruder broke into her home off the corner of Higgins Street and Jutland. “Thank God I’m still here,” said Outley. The great-grandmother was treated for severe injuries. The suspect remains on the run. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

    HOUSTON – A woman was arrested after stealing an ambulance and leading police on a chase in downtown Houston. Authorities say just before midnight, they received a call from the fire department about an ambulance that had been stolen from the station. They were tracking it on GPS and police eventually caught up with the woman.     HOUSTON – An officer is waking up with stitches after being involved in an accident on the Gulf Freeway. According to authorities, around midnight, the officer was finishing a traffic stop when an SUV crashed into the back of his patrol unit.   • Texting while driving may be to blame for a fatal crash in NW Houston

    HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating after a young woman was killed in a crash in northwest Houston. Police say at around 4:30 a.m., the 21-year-old woman was driving eastbound on Louetta Road when she somehow veered off the road. The woman went into a ditch and slammed into a drainage culvert. Police say she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and say she may have been texting. She was airlifted to Memorial Hermann where she later died.

  • Deputy accused of employee misconduct with witness in Goforth case, terminated

    HOUSTON – More details are emerging in the murder case of Deputy Darren Goforth. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office terminated another deputy for employee misconduct with a witness in the case. Deputy M. Deleon was fired after officials say an investigation determined that DeLeon lied during the investigation. This news comes after Goforth’s accused killer, Shannon Miles, was declared incompetent to stand trial.
