James Parham

James Parham is currently the lead producer of the “No Wait Weather & Traffic” morning show on CW39 in Houston. He and his family moved to Houston for his wife’s residency program during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before moving to Houston, James was a News Writer at WGN-TV in Chicago.

During my time at WGN, I also produced newscasts on CLTV, WGN’s cable partner. I previously worked as a news producer WECT-TV in Wilmington, North Carolina, WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina, and WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina.

James Parham

Earlier in his career, James produced, reported, and anchored at KOMU-TV and KBIA, the NPR affiliate, in Columbia, MO. James graduated in 2011 from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and stayed for an opportunity to work in the athletic department and get graduate level experience.

James has experience working on the staff of the Women’s soccer team at the University of Missouri and worked a variety of jobs, including the Multimedia Director/SID, with the team from 2007 until 2013.
