Raybin Dockery was born in San Diego, California but raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from Advanced Technologies Academy, she went on to attend Hampton University. Raybin was heavily involved in her college newspaper, The Hampton Script, and served as editor-in-chief her senior year. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in broadcast journalism.

She started her career as a part-time production assistant at the NBC-affiliate in Las Vegas, KSNV Channel 3 News. She quickly worked her way up to associate producer then weekend morning producer. Raybin also worked at the FOX-affiliate in Las Vegas, KVVU-TV as a morning producer.

One of Raybin’s defining moments as a news producer happened in 2017 while covering the mass shooting in Las Vegas. It was an unthinkable tragedy that taught her a lot about humility, strength, and forgiveness.

Raybin joined the Morning Dose team in March 2019. She produces the 7 a.m. hour and the “Dose of Music” segment, which highlights Houston area musicians.

She loves calling Houston her new home and exploring the city. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors and with her family. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
