HUDDERSFIELD, ENGLAND – It sounds like the plot of a comic book: a 7-year-old British girl who cannot feel pain. Olivia Farnsworth, though, isn’t a fictional character, despite her nickname of ‘The Bionic Girl.’

Olivia’s mom finally took her to the doctor after she got hit by a car, then got right back up without any complaints. Turns out, the 7-year-old is the only person in the world known to have her condition, caused by something called “chromosome 6 deletion.”

In addition to living life pain-free, Olivia never gets hungry and can go days without sleeping. Kind of sounds like a superhero, doesn’t she? For now, Olivia’s mom says she just wants her to try being a normal 7-year-old. After all, a career in crime fighting can wait.
