TOMBALL, TX – Most people are in a good mood on Fridays. That apparently wasn’t the case with Harris County Attorney Susan Sciacca.
Tomball Police say she got into a bit of trouble after what started with a fit of road rage.
According to 911 recordings, a man cut Sciacca off on Highway 249, and she didn’t take too kindly to that.
The two ended up in a parking lot where they both called the cops.
The man can be heard telling dispatch, “I had a lady follow me into the bank and pull a pistol on me.”
Whoa. Sciacca immediately came clean about the gun.
“I’ve got a man out here, screaming at me at the First Bank. He cut me off coming down the road on 2920. He got out of his car, and I pulled my gun on him. I’ve got a concealed handgun license. I’m a Harris County prosecutor.”
Prosecutor or not, you can’t go around threatening people with pistols.
The man could be heard yelling at Sciacca: “I might have cut you off or got in your lane when you were doing 90, but that does not give the right to chase me down, pull into a (expletive) parking lot, and pull a (expletive) pistol on me!”
Cops showed up and arrested Sciacca and charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She appeared in court Tuesday.
As for the folks at the Harris County Attorney’s Office, they say they’re continuing their review of this matter.
It just goes to show, it doesn’t matter who you are; You’re not above the law.
