HOUSTON, TX – Prom night can be a pinnacle moment in a young girl’s life. But for some teens facing financial hardship, we found some folks helping young ladies find the prom dress of their dreams. Since 2007, the non-profit, “Giving Gown Foundation” has been making wishes come true and preparing young princesses for their upcoming prom, by having them pick from thousands of dresses and more!

Cassie Miller, the co-director of The Giving Gown Foundation says,”it’s not just a shopping experience. We provide the whole experience so they can feel beautiful and loved. We can teach them that beauty comes from the inside out. We want these girls to leave feeling beautiful, and not just looking beautiful.”

The gowns aren’t just gorgeous, they are also given to the girls free of charge with a little help from MW Cleaners. Michael Nesbit; the President of MW Cleaners says, “We went out into the community and our customers at MW Cleaners, and asked them if they would donate a prom dress that we can clean and be able to giveaway to The Giving Gown Foundation. We’re just glad to be able to provide 850 gowns this year to an organization that we feel is very worthy.”

And to help these girls find the perfect dress, and shoes “and” accessories, 250 dedicated volunteers called “fairy godmothers” will act as their personal shopper to help these girls get ready for a night they’ll never forget. Looks like some dreams really do come true!
