HOUSTON, TX – Ana Trujillo Fox was in Harris County District Court, trying to get the judge to reduce her bail, but he didn’t.

She’s in jail, charged with killing University of Houston researcher Stefan Andersson in June in his swanky Museum District high-rise after a night of drinking tequila.

She told investigators Andersson was assaulting her when she killed him. Cops say she stabbed him in the head several times with a high-heel stiletto shoe.

Her attorney says she can’t afford her $100,000 bond. He thinks the Mexican Consulate or local groups may chip in since she’s a permanent legal resident from Mexico.

Jack Carroll also thinks they’ll go to trial as early as January 7, 2014.

Right now it’s a case of ‘she said, he’s dead’, and it’s certainly not a shoe-in.
