SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS – Bathroom time is supposed to be alone time, but what would you do if you could see all around you as you were doing your business? That’s the reality of one restroom in Sulphur Springs, Texas. It’s the first all-glass bathroom in the United States. But don’t worry, people on the outside can’t see in.

It’s got people from all over coming and going.

“I was excited about it. I think it’s just really unique, and I’ve been standing outside long enough to know that I could not see in. So, it wasn’t too bad, but it was strange when you had four men standing there looking in the door. But they couldn’t see me,’ said Meredith Caddell, a Sulphur Springs resident.

The bathroom was modeled after an Italian artist’s exhibit that also features a see-through bathroom. And if the view makes you feel a little uneasy, not to worry, it’s completely safe.

“If you take a look around, we’ve got nine cameras here on this square watching what goes on, and they’re all monitored at the police department. And they’re all recorded in high-definition color. Trust me. This is the last place a creep wants to hang out,” said Marc Maxwell, Sulphur Springs City Manager.

So next time you’re passing through Sulphur Springs, Texas, stop by, take a seat, let it go and take a little time to enjoy the view — that’s if the smell doesn’t get you first!
