MILDURA, AUSTRALIA – Australian Police have spotted a bad apple. They’re warning drivers against Apple’s infamous map app, since they say the app places their fair city about 40 miles away. That’s smack dab in the Outback at Murray-Sunset National Park. Several motorists have had to be rescued so far.

Think there are worse things than getting stranded in a park? Not so fast. The park has no water supply and can heat up to 114 degrees Fahrenheit. Not to mention the cell reception out there is spotty.

In the meantime, the police have contacted Apple to get the mess sorted out. And for the record, Mildura pops up in the right spot on Google maps.

When it comes to Apple Maps, it looks like a big, fat red x marks the spot.
