SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – Haven’t jumped on-board the ‘selfie’ phenomenon?

You might be less likely to have lice crawling around your scalp if you’re avoiding the pictures. At least, that’s what a lice-treatment expert in California is saying.

The expert, Marcy McQuillan, says there is a huge increase of lice in teens this year and she thinks it’s because the kids are sticking their heads together for cell phone pics.

The claims won’t likely affect the trend that has been picked up by President Obama and Pope Francis.

Although the selfie trend might disappear if all the teens have their heads shaved due to lice!
